Mise-en-scene is a french term thats everything you can see in a frame e.g: props, hair and makeup, costumes, settings, lighting actor positioning, body language and facial expressions.
The MES shows me that this series is serious because they all look pretty scared and there is a person in the background with a suit that protects you from extreme temperatures and chemicals. They are all wearing 80s fashion clothes so it may be based in the 1980s. There is also a sheriff i can see this because he has a sheriff costume. There is a girl with a shaved head and hospital gown so she may be from a hospital or may have escaped.
The MES in this scene connotes that this old man is at a fairground which may mean that he wants to have a lot of people around in places they cant escape so he could maybe hurt them. He also has a duffle bag so maybe he is carrying something bad. it looks quite old fashioned as everyone is wearing clothes that we wouldn't normally wear today all the men are also wearing top hats. Its night time so that suggests that he is committing a crime because you wouldn't be acting that suspicious in broad daylight.
Editing
Includes: transitions, pace and speed of cuts, CGI, green screening and graphics.
straight cut: straight from one cut to another

parallel editing: tells two characters at once where they cut between two things happening at the same time eventually meet in the middle.
cutaway: where it shows you extra information to show the characters environment.
montage: some random clips that get put together, perfect to show how a character changes over time.
