News day evaluation

L.O: to evaluate and review our news day project 

Evaluation:

Explain what you did and what stories you worked on. We did a news report on the teacher strikes around the UK. We filmed our main story and had an interview with Mrs.Boyd about it.

Which bit did you enjoy the most and why? I enjoyed the interviewing because it was very interesting.

Which bit did you least enjoy and why? Being filmed because it was awkward being behind a camera.

What skills did you learn and develop? I developed editing and confidence. 

What did you learn about the film News process? There are a lot of different stages to crating an effective and good news story.

04/10/2022  Media language analysis        L.O:  To analyse a pice of text using media language.    The shot type used is medium long shot. I think they have used this type of shot to show the parts of his body that tell us what this movie is going to be about like his hands as he wearing gloves and has a gun in his hand. They also made sure that his head was in the shot so you can get his facial expressions as they tell us about how the characters will be shown.  The clothing suggests to me that he is going to be active but still very serious and also to fit in. The gloves tell me that he possibly does not want to get caught if he does a crime (covering his finger prints).  The props in this advert is a gun in his right hand which tells me that this is going to be a violent movie and people are going to get shot. The background is plain so they draw attention to to only the character.  Gunshots and explosions were kept in the trail...

My subject position is a female 13 year old, white, straight not rich student from Cornwall.   15/09/2022 L.O:  to discuss what media is and how it impacts our lives. definition: "The main means of mass communication". tv, social media, newspaper, radio, magazines, email, film, advertising, podcast, text/messages, apps, streaming sites,  video games,  Creating meaning   .A sign can be any physical form to which we give meaning, including words, pictures, colours, clothes, etc An equestrian would be interested in this as burghley horse trials is a very big event that a majority of equestrians know about, and there is a horse on the front so if you like horses you will be drawn.  Finally it has a subject that a lot of equestrians disagree with so they'll want to read it.                                                      ...
