Film Outline-

genre: fantasy

title: majestic 

setting: A mysterious wood on an unknown island inhabited by animals only. 

characters: A group of wild horses, different species of animals, young teenage girl and her family, villians (hunters looking to take the animals of the island).

plot: A young teenage girl who has moved with her rich family to an un-habited island as they have bought it. The girl was exploring one day when she found a group of wild horses. She comes back to see the horses in the same spot every day for weeks until she slowly builds a bond with them ( and learns she can talk to the horses). One day she comes back to find the horses are no longer there except for one, she looks after the horse and they team together to find the missing horses. Includes a fight with the hunters and she then finds out one of the hunters is her dad.

sound and music: calming sounds except when there are energetic scenes. 

props/costumes: mid length blue dress for brunette teenage girl (amy).

04/10/2022  Media language analysis        L.O:  To analyse a pice of text using media language.    The shot type used is medium long shot. I think they have used this type of shot to show the parts of his body that tell us what this movie is going to be about like his hands as he wearing gloves and has a gun in his hand. They also made sure that his head was in the shot so you can get his facial expressions as they tell us about how the characters will be shown.  The clothing suggests to me that he is going to be active but still very serious and also to fit in. The gloves tell me that he possibly does not want to get caught if he does a crime (covering his finger prints).  The props in this advert is a gun in his right hand which tells me that this is going to be a violent movie and people are going to get shot. The background is plain so they draw attention to to only the character.  Gunshots and explosions were kept in the trail...

My subject position is a female 13 year old, white, straight not rich student from Cornwall.   15/09/2022 L.O:  to discuss what media is and how it impacts our lives. definition: "The main means of mass communication". tv, social media, newspaper, radio, magazines, email, film, advertising, podcast, text/messages, apps, streaming sites,  video games,  Creating meaning   .A sign can be any physical form to which we give meaning, including words, pictures, colours, clothes, etc An equestrian would be interested in this as burghley horse trials is a very big event that a majority of equestrians know about, and there is a horse on the front so if you like horses you will be drawn.  Finally it has a subject that a lot of equestrians disagree with so they'll want to read it.                                                      ...
